In this movie we see how the Germans and the Ukrainian guards used to harass the Jews through subjecting them to slavery. From the movie, the Germans went to the Jewish countries and assured them of giving them jobs in Sobibor which was a death camp. At this point in time, there were a lot of problems of unemployment in the Jewish countries which made the Germans to take advantage of this situation. Those who accepted to go with the Germans were transported for free in a train to Sobibor. On reaching the destination; they alighted and gathered on a field awaiting further instructions from the German soldiers. The place looked cool and calm. At this moment, the Jewish are so happy to have had an opportunity to go and work in such a beautiful place. After a short while, a soldier comes with a whip asking the Jewish to separate.
Adults and Children stayed apart awaiting for further instructions. Then; another German soldier wearing a stone face comes and further separates those who were professionals in different fields and those who did not have any qualification. On the dais, is a soldier who advises them on where to take a shower and the direction to take based on their separate groups. In this movie, which happens to be a true story, Sobibor was a death camp, where all the children and adults without any skills met their death.Later; they realized they were being tricked by the Germans. They were shocked when they leant it was a death camp. Later, they disclosed to the others about the reality of the matter. They started organizing how to escape from the camp. At the end of the movie, they manage to get out of the death camp. About two hundred survived safely to the forest while others lost their lives. Later, the truth comes out and the German soldiers are thrown behind bars for having violated human rights.
From the analysis of this movie, Germans did not have any jobs for the Jews but, they wanted to use them as slaves in different activities within the death camp. For example: Knitting, shoe making, cooking, farming among other activities. The German soldiers were such inhuman that they managed to kill thousand of the Jews: men, women and children through suffocating them to death in a tower which was filled with smoke.Later; we see others being shocked to death when they learnt that their families had died through suffocation. It is evident that, only those who had skills escaped suffocation. The memories of their loved ones who lost their life in Sobibor, activates them to find means of escaping. A courageous group of men arranges to runway from the camp. It is a process which takes a bit of time since; they have to do it secretly. Later, the process succeeds although many lost their lives through gun shots from the Germans. It was a great fight that brought the survival of more than two hundred Jews who managed to escape to the forest safely. Afterwards, we see a character like
